ENDURO produces machine bearings specifically developed for bicycle use, where the loads deviate from industrial purposes due to non-standardized sizes, lower rotational speeds, and static forces. In fact, a high ABEC rating alone does not mean that the bearing possesses all the qualities desired for optimal function and long durability on a bicycle.

The difference between a standard industrial machine bearing and an ENDURO bicycle-specific bearing lies in deeper raceways that can absorb lateral forces better – and this applies to all bearings from ENDURO, regardless of the ABEC rating, material, or application!

ABEC classifications are standards that a machine bearing must meet. A higher number signals better quality. To receive an ABEC classification, a number of requirements must be met, including noise testing at high RPMs, extremely tight tolerances for inner diameter, outer diameter, ball roundness and raceways, as well as surface treatment for all components.

ENDURO's ABEC 3 bearings surpass competitors in quality and durability, thanks to Grade 10 balls (which are twice as round as the best industrial standard) and their raceways made of 52100 High Carbon Chromium steel alloy. ENDURO ABEC 3 bearings also feature steel retainers to increase lifespan, and are noise-tested to meet or exceed ABEC-3 tolerances.
