ENDURO produces machine bearings specifically developed for bicycle use, where the loads differ from industrial purposes due to non-standardized sizes, lower rotational speeds, and static forces. In fact, a high ABEC number alone does not mean that the bearing possesses all the qualities desired for optimal function and long durability on a bicycle.

The difference between a standard industrial machine bearing and an ENDURO bike-specific bearing lies in deeper raceways that can absorb lateral forces better – and this applies to all ENDURO bearings, regardless of the ABEC number, material, or application!

 ABEC 3

ABEC classifications are standards that a machine bearing must meet. A higher number indicates better quality. To obtain an ABEC classification, a number of requirements must be met, including noise testing at high speeds, extremely tight tolerances for internal diameter, outer diameter, ball roundness, and raceways, as well as surface treatment for all components.

ENDURO's ABEC 3 bearings surpass those of competitors in quality and durability, thanks to Grade 10 balls (which are twice as round as the best industry standard) and their raceways made from 52100 High Carbon Chromium steel alloy. ENDURO ABEC 3 bearings also feature steel retainers to increase lifespan and are noise-tested to meet or exceed ABEC-3 tolerances.
