ENDURO manufactures bearings specifically designed for bicycle use, where stresses differ from industrial purposes due to non-standardized sizes, lower rotational speeds, and static forces. In fact, a high ABEC rating alone does not mean that the bearing possesses all the qualities desired for optimal function and long durability on a bicycle.

The difference between a standard industrial bearing and an ENDURO bicycle-specific bearing lies in deeper raceways that can better absorb lateral forces – and this applies to all ENDURO bearings, regardless of the ABEC rating, material, or application!

ABEC 3

ABEC classifications are standards that a bearing must meet. A higher number indicates better quality. To obtain an ABEC classification, a number of requirements must be met, including noise testing at high speeds, extremely tight tolerances for internal diameter, external diameter, ball roundness and raceways, as well as surface treatment for all components.

ENDURO's ABEC 3 bearings surpass competitors in quality and durability, thanks to Grade 10 balls (which are twice as round as the best industry standard) and raceways made from 52100 High Carbon Chromium steel alloy. ENDURO ABEC 3 bearings also feature steel retainers to increase lifespan, and are noise tested to meet or exceed ABEC-3 tolerances.
