ENDURO produces machine bearings specifically designed for bicycle use, where the loads differ from industrial purposes due to non-standardized sizes, lower rotational speeds, and static forces. In fact, a high ABEC rating alone does not mean that the bearing possesses all the qualities desired for optimal function and long durability on a bicycle.

The difference between a standard industrial machine bearing and an ENDURO bicycle-specific bearing lies in deeper raceways that can absorb lateral forces better – and this applies to all bearings from ENDURO, regardless of ABEC rating, material, or application!

ABEC 3

ABEC classifications are standards that a machine bearing must meet. A higher number signals better quality. To obtain an ABEC classification, a number of requirements must be met, including noise testing at high speeds, extremely tight tolerances for inner diameter, outer diameter, ball roundness and raceways, as well as surface treatment for all components.

ENDURO's ABEC 3 bearings surpass competitors in quality and durability, thanks to Grade 10 balls (which are twice as round as the best industry standard) and their raceways made from 52100 High Carbon Chromium steel alloy. ENDURO ABEC 3 bearings also feature steel ball retainers to increase lifespan, and are noise tested to meet or exceed ABEC-3 tolerances.

MAX

Machine bearings specifically developed for full-suspension frames to solve the challenges associated with the stresses that occur when a bearing does not "spin". MAX bearings have 35-40% greater load capacity than standard machine bearings – this is achieved by inserting the maximum number of balls into the bearing, while the raceways are deeper to provide more lateral support. LLU seals and MaxGrease provide maximum protection against the elements.
