An oil change should be performed annually or at least every 5000 km. Through this process, it can be safely assumed that there will always be enough oil in the hub regardless of oil loss (due to "sweating oil") and that any ingress of water will be flushed out.

The oil change kit (item no. 8410) consists of:

  • 25ml cleaning oil (Item no. 8402) in a 50ml bottle
  • 12.5 ml Rohloff SPEEDHUB OIL (Item no. 8403)
  • Oil filling tube (item no. 8502)
  • Disposable syringe 50ml (Item no. 8405)
  • Drain plug with new seal (Item no. 8205)
