How Do You Treat Your Bike?
New bike. It's a special feeling.
You have to be careful. No one is allowed to touch it. Maybe, if they wash their hands.
Some time passes. Washing and fixing a bit more than necessary.
Then, a scratch, a small dent. So what? A bit of poor shifting, slightly bad brakes. No problem.

Then, a scratch, a small dent. So what? A little poor shifting, a little bad braking. No big deal.
Now you easily lend it out. Not too concerned about when you get it back. Maybe you leave it outside to wait in the rain for a few days.
The bike stands ignored behind the house, or in the shed. A little rust isn't that bad, is it?
It is now locked in a cold, wet garage, without warmth, light, or joy. You've actually forgotten you had a bike.
I hope I'm wrong. Have a great weekend!
