Tubeless sealant developed in collaboration with mechanics and world cup level cyclists. Peaty’s Holeshot Tubeless Sealant contains biodegradable fibers and sealing particles to provide a fast and strong seal for your tubeless system. Using fast-acting latex, our water-based sealant is ammonia and toxin-free and lasts up to six months in temperate climates*. The sealant will not clump inside the tire and can be easily washed out. The biodegradable fibers and particles bind with the latex in the same way blood coagulates, effectively sealing holes and tears up to 6mm in size.
Key features:
- Biodegradable fibers
- Biodegradable particles
- CO2 compatible
- Seals holes up to 6mm
- Pressure range: 15 - 120 PSI
- Temperature range: -20°c to +50°c
- Seals porous tires and gaps in bead/rim
Setup:
Ensure you have tubeless-compatible rims and tires. Use Peaty’s Tubeless Rim Tape and Peaty’s Tubeless Valves for best results.
1) Shake the bottle vigorously before use to ensure fibers and particles are evenly distributed.
2) Wash away old sealant from the tire and dry it thoroughly. Rinse and dry if the tires are completely new.
3) Mount the tire on the rim and inflate with a floor pump/CO2 cartridge or compressor until the tire pops onto the rim.
4) Deflate the tire and turn the tubeless valve to the open position (three o'clock). Use the included flexible hose to fill the desired amount of sealant through the tubeless valve.
5) Insert the valve core and inflate the tire to the desired pressure level.
6) Distribute the sealant in the tire by spinning the wheel and occasionally bouncing the tire against the ground.
7) Listen for leaks and rotate the tire so that the sealant flows to the leaky area. Repeat the operation until the tire is sealed and you no longer hear any leaks. †
8) Wash off excess sealant from the outside of the tire and rims with water.
9) Check tire pressure and get on your bike!
Recommended amount of sealant per tire:
- Road/asphalt: 30-45 ml
- Cyclocross: 60-75 ml
- MTB 26": 60-80 ml
- MTB 27.5": 70-90 ml
- MTB 29": 100-120 ml
For wider tire and rim combinations or when using tire inserts, we recommend up to 30 ml of extra sealant per tire.
* Check the sealant regularly and top up if necessary.
† If a tight seal is not achieved, add more sealant a little at a time.
